Album Info:This album contains shots of NS 64J and 65J, daily loaded and empty trash trains from Kearny Point, NJ to Mingo Junction, OH. The line to New Jersey Rail Carriers, LLC on Kearny Point where the trash is loaded joins the mainline at a switch facing east. Since the trash is headed west, the engines must run around the train after pulling up from Kearny Point. They do this by using the eastern end of the Passaic & Harsimus line which runs through Journal Square Transportation Center in Jersey City. At one time this line connected with the National Docks branch, but now it only remains as a spur with a passing siding. These trains are the only freight that goes through JSQ anymore.
